R&B singer Jacquees was arrested Sunday in Hollywood after police found him passed out in his vehicle. He’s facing DUI and battery charges.
R&B singer Jacquees is now a free man after he was released from the Broward County Main Jail on a $3,500 bond before posting bail Monday.
Jacquees was arrested Sunday morning in Hollywood, Florida, after police found him passed out behind the wheel of his Jeep Gladiator.
The 32-year-old, whose real name is Rodriguez Jacquees Broadnax, is now facing three charges: DUI, battery on an officer, and resisting an officer without violence.
Hollywood police responded to a call just before 8 A.M. Sunday at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and North 62nd Avenue.

Officers found Jacquees unresponsive in his white pickup truck. After several attempts to wake him by tapping the window and shaking the vehicle, firefighters had to break the right front window to reach him.
According to the arrest report, Jacquees smelled of alcohol when officers finally got him out of the truck.
Police said he became combative with first responders as he was being transported to a hospital.
During the process, he allegedly punched a police officer in the arm while resisting being placed on a stretcher. An officer struck Broadnax in the face with his forearm to place him under arrest.
Jacquees tells a different story.
“The police pulled up. They said I was sleep at the light. You know, I asked them, I said, ‘Man, why you just advise me to go to the crib? My house across the street?’ And then, you know, I ain’t want to lock me up, so he started putting his hands on me,” he said outside the jail after bonding out.
When asked if he resisted arrest, the singer downplayed the incident.
“What’s resisting like saying, like, ‘Man, don’t lock me up.’ Oh, yeah. I definitely told them don’t lock me up. Not physically,” he explained.
The R&B artist, who has over 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, is confident the charges won’t stick.
“I’ll be in court, and then they’ll drop them all,” he said when asked about the charges. When pressed on why he believes they’ll be dropped, he responded simply: “Because they false.”
As a condition of his bond, he’s been ordered to refrain from any alcohol or drugs.
